Welcome to the Caregiver Mental Health Education Series!

The Education Team of the Children, Youth and Families – Addiction and Mental Health Edmonton Zone (AHS) and Boys and Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area has partnered in order to offer these Caregiver Mental Health Education Sessions! These free 90 minute sessions are intended to provide parents, caregivers, teachers, and community members with basic level information regarding addiction and mental health challenges that can and do affect children and youth.

The upcoming session is on Technology and the Teenage Brain, which aims to support the digital well-being of families.

WHAT: This session will review how modern technology can impact the developing teenage brain and give parents and teens strategies for using technology in ways that better supports positive mental health.

WHO: This session is for parents, other caregivers, and teens Grade 7-12 to attend together.

WHERE: This session will be held ONLINE via a Zoom link which will be emailed to registrants 2 business days before the session.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 13, 2020, from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
